Antique Kohler & Liebich Co. "Liberty Chimes" #44 – Dinner & Militaria Bells
Offered today are early 20th century antique chimes manufactured by The Kohler & Liebich Co., marked "Liberty Chimes" on the original paper label affixed to the underside. Also marked No. 44, this early 20th-century chime features a solid stained hardwood case fitted with four steel chime bars secured by fasteners. The chimes are suspended on original cord and produce four distinct notes.
Kohler & Liebich produced a variety of chimes during the early 1900s until production was ceased during WW2. Their "Liberty Chimes" models are appreciated today for their Arts & Crafts-era simplicity, quality construction, and rich mechanical tone.
This example retains an attractive original patina to both the wood case and steel chime bars. The underside still bears the original manufacturer's label, though it shows expected wear from age. The mounting hardware remains intact. Doesn't come with mallet or any other hardware.
Approx. Dimensions: 8 5/8" W × 6 5/8" H × 2" D (2 1/2" D including chime bars)
