Antique Match Safe Victorian Boot Shoe Cold Painted Country Pottery w/ Striker
We are offering an antique 19th century match safe, measuring about 4” tall, 5.5” long, and 1.75” wide. This piece is pottery painted to look like leather and wood. The top of the boot is hollowed out to hold matches, and the elastic pattern on either side would have operated as a striker. This piece is the perfect addition to any collection!
Very good condition with no chips or cracks. There is pitting to the paint across the whole piece, as expected of a piece of this age.
