Antique Austrian/Czech Vienna Porcelain decorative wallor cabinet portrait plate from the Elbogen factory, circa 1910-1935. Large lady profile portrait centers a heavily gilded upper wall design. Woman is seen with long, dark hair, and is wearing a white and green lowly draped article of clothing. Colors range from deep, burnt oranges at the base of the profile, to lightly graduating shades of olive green working their way towards the plate's gilded, scalloped edge. Several bands of detailed tiny floral gilding accent the piece. White back is marked with "28" and a depiction of a chain bridge above "Elbogen", "Made in Austria".
Plate measures 9 1/2" in Diameter, stands 1 1/4" High.
Very good condition despite some scratching seen in the plate's middle, approximately at the woman's chin and nose. No cracks, chips, or crazing. Some of the gold tone trim around the plate's inner bowl and outer edge is rubbed/worn. Faint yellow tint around the white scalloped edge. Clean back. Mark on back is faint and worn.
