Antique Royal Bonn porcelain mantel clock fitted with an Ansonia Clock Company movement and dial. “La Lorne” model/style with hand-painted floral motifs, gilt accents, and a craquelure glaze throughout. Features an ornate Rococo-inspired case with original beveled glass door and Roman numeral dial marked “Manufactured by The Ansonia Clock Company New York United States of America.”

Royal Bonn, based in Bonn, Germany, was known in the late 19th and early 20th century for highly decorative porcelain and faience pieces exported internationally. The combination of a German porcelain case with an American Ansonia movement was common in upscale decorative clocks of the Victorian and Edwardian periods.
