Antique Sterling Silver Engraved Pill Snuff Trinket Box Swedish 1873 Marked Rare
We are offering an antique Swedish sterling silver pill box, measuring about 2” x 1.25” x 0.5”. This piece has a lovely geometric engraving on the lid, and the hinges are solid. There are four hallmarks on the inside, including the Swedish triple crown and a “T5” dating the piece to 1873. Two of these marks are unidentified, “FGH”, which would be a maker’s mark, and a symbol that would represent the manufacturing town or city. The inside has a light gold wash.This piece is the perfect addition to any collection!
Excellent condition with no dents or cracks. The hinges are solid and the lid stays closed. It looks as though the hinges were repaired at some point a long time ago, which does not affect the function or look of the piece at all.
