Item here is an antique pair of Victorian Egyptian Revival 10-14k gold natural green scarab insect double stick pin. These pins are unmarked but test for 14k gold on our gold tester. Beautiful, super rare natural green scarab pins set in gorgeous rose gold.
This was made by hand in gold in the 1800's, during the Victorian times. At that time they did not have the xray machines to exactly calculate the percent of karat gold. A jeweler would mix 24 karat gold with a percent of another metal to make it 14 karat gold. Sometimes they could be off. We understand this being estate Jewelers
