Antique Victorian Jack in the Pulpit Cranberry Art Glass Vase Hand Blown
Offered here is an antique victorian” Jack in the Pulpit” vase colored in a rich cranberry color. The piece was hand blown and features a fluted, ribbed pattern on top which leads to a thinner middle neck and then finally opens back up into an squeezed ellipsoid base. A unpolished patch constitutes the pontil which indicates that the vase was in fact hand blown. The term “Jack in the pulpit” refers to a certain species of flower called Arisaema triphyllum common to eastern North America which has an interesting open hooded flower.
Measures 4 1/2” in Diameter x 9 1/8” High
Top opening measures 2” in Diameter
The piece is in very good to excellent condition. No cracks or chips. Some slight straw lines on interior. manufacturing bubbles or bumps. The bottom interior could also use a good cleaning. (We'll let the buyer attempt that.)
