Nearly Antique Solid Bronze Rodin “The Thinker” Bookends Pair Neoclassical Style
Today we have a handsome pair of vintage (nearly antique) solid bronze bookends featuring Auguste Rodins' “The Thinker” figure. Great neoclassical design: archway with fluted columns, and ornate raised detailing. These examples are wonderfully detailed, and show minimal patina.
Backs have a hammered/textured finish and are marked “SOLID BRONZE.” Heavy, well-cast pair suitable for use as functional bookends, desk decor, library accents, and office display.
