Vintage 14k Gold Filigree Ruby Persian Turquoise Pearl Leaf Open Work Pin 2.25"
Offered here is a lovely 1950-1960's era 14KT gold pin. Features a pretty leaf design which is embellished with one row of Persian turquoise cab stones, one row of cultured pearls and one row of round faceted rubies.Such a pretty airy design! Thick gold wire was hand twisted, with each part of the leaf made separately then assembled together. Not marked, but acid tested for 14KT gold.
Measures approximately 2 1/4" long x 3/4" wide. Weighs 6 grams/3.8dwt.
There are 4 Persian turquoise measuring .13 cts, total weight of approx 50 pts, one-half carat, 5 cultured pearls that measure 4mm, and 5 rubies measuring .15 cts each , total weight of .60 points, well over one-half carat. Turquoise measures 2.6mm, rubies measure 2.6mm.
Item is in excellent vintage condition. Gold is nice and bright. Can easily be made into a pendant.
