Vintage 1940's WWII American Red Cross ARC Service Volunteer Pin Lot of 4
Today we have a lot of four vintage American Red Cross volunteer service pins and insignia dating primarily from the World War II era. This grouping includes three enamel pins and one woven fabric year bar.
Included in the lot:

1941 Cut-Out Red Cross Pin – Red and white enamel cross-shaped pin with gold-tone borders. This design was introduced in 1941 as a revision of earlier Red Cross insignia dating back to 1918 and was used in a variety of ways on uniforms.

1945 American Red Cross Domestic Service Pin – Round white, red, blue, and gold-tone enamel pin marked “WORLD ARC WAR II.” According to our references, this pin was available to domestic staff who worked during World War II. The cross is raised above the white enamel field.

American Red Cross Administration Volunteer Service Pin – Round red, white, and gold-tone enamel pin marked “AMERICAN RED CROSS VOLUNTEER.” The reference guide identifies this red-color volunteer service badge as the Administration pin, a design used from 1923 through 1967. The reverse is marked with what appears to be a company name, "Bronze", and individually numbered “A716A.”

American Red Cross Convention Badge– Blue woven fabric bar with a white center panel and red cross. The reference guide identifies this as a Red Cross Year Bar. These bars indicated years of Red Cross service and were first issued in 1942, with additional versions introduced in 1944. The plain bar without stars represented five years of service. The bars were discontinued in 1949, when metal bars became available.
An excellent original grouping of WWII-eraAmerican Red Cross volunteer memorabilia. The lot includes identifiable examples representing wartime domestic service, volunteer administration, uniform insignia, and years of service.
Condition:
Vintage pre-owned condition with expected age and use wear. Surface scratches, tarnish, oxidation, discoloration, and minor enamel wear are present. The fabric year bar has visible fraying and wear. Please see photos for full condition details.
