Vintage Antonio Gusini Signed Citrus Still Life Painting Framed - Todd Gallery
Today we have a signed still life painting by Antonio Gusini, featuring two oranges/citrus fruits with leaves, water droplets, and soft reflection against a black & dark green background, with a dark green border. The painting appears to be executed on textured canvas and is signed in the lower right. It is housed in an ornate gesso frame with black, gold, and red bole-style finish, paired with a deep green velvet/fabric mat and gold inner liner. Back retains an old Todd Gallery label from Paramus, New Jersey.

Painting presents well overall. Frame shows wear and distressing, including paint/gesso losses, chips, cracks, exposed red underlayer, rubbing to the gilt finish, and edge/corner wear. Part of the frame has chipped off as noted in the pictures. Green mat/fabric liner shows dust, fading, and surface wear. Backing paper is torn/cracked with an existing hanging wire.
