Vintage Cast Iron “The One That Got Away” Mechanical Fishing Coin Bank
Today we have a vintage cast iron mechanical coin bank titled “The One That Got Away.”, depicting a fisherman pulling on his rod as a large fish rises from the water.
Coins are deposited through the opening in the fisherman’s basket. A small operating lever is located on one end of the bank. The piece is constructed primarily of heavy cast iron with hand-painted green, turquoise, brown, red, cream, and white decoration.

Good vintage display condition with surface wear consistent with age and use. Paint loss, scratches, scuffs, oxidation, and finish wear are present throughout. The fisherman has notable paint loss and cracking around the hat, head, and neck area. Tested functionality without coin and works.
