Vintage Chinese Mao Zedong Communist Party Alarm Clock Red Base 13oz
Vintage Chinese Mao Zedong Communist Party table alarm clock with red metal base, chrome-tone trim, flip-style date display, and illustrated Mao Zedong / revolutionary crowd dial. The Chinese text on the face reads “毛主席万岁,” meaning “Long Live Chairman Mao.”
This is a FANTASTIC find for history lovers, edge-lord debutants who inherited everything except self-awareness, and my fellow millenials that find great joy in painful irony.

*Condition*
Vintage pre-owned condition with visible age and wear throughout. One of the cleanest examples I've seen of this clock (especially in the classic Commie Red). The waving hand is still attached and functions too (often they fall off long-long ago).
The red base has scuffs, scratches, small paint chips, dust, and finish wear. Chrome-tone areas show oxidation, spotting, scratches, and tarnish. The clock face shows discoloration, fading, surface wear, and age-related marks under the crystal. Rear panel has scratches, paint loss, oxidation, and general wear. Date display flips manually/mechanically and is shown changing from 25 to 26 in the photos.
Clock has not been professionally serviced, however, it does keep time and the alarm does ring as well (though I didn't want to play with it too much and didn't set the alarm). Gave it a 60 second test to track the time and it passed. No guarantees on 24 hours time keeping though.
*Imporant Note*
It is imperative that this clock is kept level to work. Even a slight variation can prevent this from functioning. Despite it working, we must sell As-Is. These pieces always require servicing at some point.
