Antique Elgin 4 Qt Glass Butter Churn w/ Hand Crank Wood Paddle

Vintage Elgin glass butter churn with original-style hand crank top and wooden internal paddle assembly. The front retains part of the original Elgin label, reading “Elgin” and “For the Modern Dairyman.” The glass jar is marked 4 QT and has a square-sided form with threaded metal lid/churn mechanism.

The churn features a cast metal crank assembly with blue handle grips, exposed gear mechanism, metal lid, and wooden paddle inside. Nice display piece for farmhouse, dairy, country store, kitchen, or Americana decor.

Good antique used condition. Glass jar is in nice shape with no obvious major cracks or chips. Metal top and crank show age-related wear, oxidation, surface rust, patina, and general discoloration. Blue handle grips show wear. Interior wooden paddle shows age, surface wear, and residue/white spotting. Original paper/foil Elgin label is heavily worn, torn, peeling, and partially missing. Mechanism has not been fully tested for food-use functionality, but turns/cranks smoothly. Sold as a collectible/display piece.
