Vintage oil on canvas painting in the Impressionist manner from unknown "Illena" artist, c.1960's, USA. Subject matter is shown in very light, cool tones and depicts a beachside, nautical type scene. Lovely red and yellow hues add to the soft blue sky. A man stands with hand on hip beside his beached sailboat while a second man holding some type of net wades in the water behind him. A larger fishing boat drifts across the water behind the two men. Several other boat portraits show in the scene's lower right corner. Signed in red in bottom left corner. Housed in a gilded brown, ripple-textured-like frame.
Measures 29" Long x 25" Wide. View measures 23 1/2" L x 19 3/4" W.
Good. some darkening around the sky's top edge (pictures 7-8). Minor nicks, dings, and paint loss around the frame's edges. Rubbed-section of white paint shows on the frame's top edge.
