2 Rare Vintage Orthodox Brass Clad Icons Jesus Mary Baby Jesus
Pair of vintage Orthodox brass-clad religious icons featuring Jesus Christ and Mary with Baby Jesus. Each plaque has a raised brass-tone cover with embossed foliage borders, raised/beaded halo details, and exposed painted/printed facial and hand details beneath. The backs are covered in velvet fabric, one burgundy and one purple, and each has a small metal hanging loop for wall display.
Approx. size: about 2 3/4” wide x 3 1/4” high each.
*Condition*
Both are in good, displayable condition, but show age-related wear, surface tarnish, patina, rubbing to the brass-tone metal, small scuffs, and discoloration from handling and display. Velvet backs show dust, lint, wear, and light soiling. The metal covers have some unevenness and minor lifting/edge wear consistent with age. Overall attractive vintage condition with honest surface wear. Sold as found.
