Antique hand blown dark olive “black glass” wine or spirits bottle dating approximately to the early-to-mid 19th century. This example has a very deep recessed push-up/punt base and thick glass construction.The glass appears nearly black under normal lighting but reveals deep olive green tones when illuminated.

Antique condition, as-found/dug. Strong primitive appearance with noticeable age and surface character throughout. Heavy oxidation, scratching, iridescence, staining, and wear are present across the exterior from age and long-term storage. The deep concave base is particularly striking and typical of early utility and wine bottles, where the punt added structural strength and assisted with sediment collection. The included stopper assembly appears old, but may be a later addition rather than original to the bottle. No major cracks noted.
