We are offering an antique porcelain vase, measuring about 8.5” tall, 7” wide, and 4” deep. This piece is a lovely moriage with hand painted flowers and gold detailing. The double handles and ruffled rim evoke traditional Japanese motifs, while the teal panels and pink flowers call to mind French Rococo style, the combination of which was a standout of Meiji period design. This piece was made pre-1921, most likely from the turn of the century. The bottom is marked “Hand Painted” with the “Nippon” maple leaf. This piece is the perfect addition to any collection.
Very good condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. There is expected age-related wear to the paint, especially the gold. Please inspect the pictures carefully, as they are an extension of our written description.
