Antique Opal Satin Glass Hand Painted Floral Biscuit Jar Silver Plate Lid
Beautiful antique opal ware / satin glass biscuit jar with hand painted floral decoration and silver plate mounted lid, rim, and swing handle. The body has a soft milky opaline appearance with a semi-satin finish, hand painted with pink flowers, green foliage, and fine red/brown branching vine detail around the jar. The metalwork features a domed ribbed lid with decorative finial, wide silver plate collar, and twisted swing handle with ornate side mounts.
A very attractive late Victorian / early 20th century style biscuit jar.

Good antique condition with age-appropriate wear. The satin glass body displays beautifully with some surface wear, light scratches, rubbing to the hand painted decoration, small scattered marks, and a noted residue/age spotting presented in the pictures. Silver plate mounts show tarnish, darkening, plate wear, scuffs, and patina throughout. Lid and handle are intact and present well. Handle stands securely. No major cracks or chips noted.
