Antique Polish Folk Art Wood Crucifix Scene 1901 Hand Carved
Antique hand-carved and hand-painted wooden devotional crucifix, likely Polish folk art in origin. The piece features Christ on the cross with two Mother Mary and John the Disciple, mounted on a rectangular base. The front retains old painted decoration in black, red, blue, and cream tones, with an “INRI” plaque at top. There appears to be old writing on the underside including “1901” and what may read “Gallingen” / Galiny, but the inscription is faint and not fully legible, so origin should be considered an attribution rather than a certainty.
