Vintage Italian Hand Painted Ceramic Leopard Figurines Pair Model 494/CH
Charming pair of vintage Italian ceramic leopard figurines, each modeled in a playful reclining pose with the animal curled onto its back and its large paws raised.
Each leopard is a hand painted, hollow ceramic constructions with glazed exteriors.
The undersides are marked “494/CH” and “ITALY”
Each Measures approx. 8" x 4" x 6"
Condition:
Vintage condition with age-related surface wear, glaze/paint loss, scratches, scuffs and manufacturing irregularities. One leopard has noticeable damage to one ear, with a large portion broken away and the unglazed ceramic body exposed; there is also a small loss at the tip of the opposite ear. Additional scattered glaze losses/abrasions are visible on the bodies. The second leopard appears far more complete, with typical surface and glaze wear visible from age.
