Antique hand painted porcelain decorative plate from J&C Bavaria, c.1911, Germany. Artist signed hand painted design on the white base porcelain shows an Asian-inspired scene with three Geisha women. Colorful design is finished with pastel-like tones and is accented with a thick black trim wrapping around the entire exterior edge. Rear is double hallmarked with a blue "J&C G.H.B. Co. Dayton" mark, unidentifiable green mark, and hand signed artist "Stella Reeser, 1911".
Plate measures 8 1/2" in Diameter.
Good to very good. Plate is without cracks, hairlines, or crazing. Some color fading of the background orange color is evident at the top of the scene. Some paint wear/rubbing noticeable in other parts of the design, most notably around the black painted trim (pictures 6-8). Light rub-wear on plate back.
