Vintage Royal Copenhagen Bertel Thorvaldsen Bisque Porcelain Relief Plaques/Plates
Here we have a vintage framed display featuring two Royal Copenhagen white bisque porcelain relief plaques/plates/medallions based on designs by celebrated Danish Neoclassical sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen.
Each circular plaque is finely molded in low relief with classically inspired figural scenes, in unglazed white bisque finish.
The plaques are mounted vertically and framed against a blue velvet backing and displayed under glass in a wood frame with relic'd gilt finish.
No marks are visible while the plaques remain mounted in the frame.

Good vintage condition with age-related wear. The plaques appear intact from the front, with no obvious major chips or cracks. The frame has scratches, finish wear, small losses, and areas of discoloration. The velvet backing shows signs of age. The paper dust cover on the reverse is torn, exposing a section of blue fabric beneath. Hanging wire is present. Please review all photographs closely.
