Pond’s Extract was a widely known American medicinal product originally developed from witch hazel extract by Theron T. Pond in the mid-1800s. It was marketed as a household remedy for cuts, bruises, inflammation, sprains, burns, and general pain relief. The brand became one of the most recognizable patent medicine names of the Victorian era and later evolved into the well-known Pond’s skincare company. Marked 1846
This example retains strong antique character with substantial surface haze, mineralization, and rainbow iridescence throughout the glass.
