Antique S.R. Erven & Co PHILA Embossed Brown Stout Beer Bottle Aqua Glass Bottle
Antique embossed aqua-green glass beer or stout bottle marked “S.R. ERVEN & CO / PHILA.” Likely dating to the late 19th century, this squat-form bottle features a heavy applied blob top and thick glass construction typical of hand-finished brewery bottles from the post–Civil War through turn-of-the-century period. The deep emerald/aqua coloration, crude embossing, and substantial base all point toward early machine-transition or hand-blown manufacture.
We were unable to find much of any information of this company. A fairly rare example.
