Vintage African Style Carved Wood Djembe Drum 22” 7lb 8oz
Today we have a vintage African hand-carved djembe handdrum featuring a carved wood body, and black rope tensioning around the upper bowl. The wooden shell has a mix of dark stained and natural carved decoration, including geometric bands, wave-like border carving, textured chip-carved panels, and stylized figural motifs around the base.
The upper drum bowl has carved and painted geometric decoration beneath the rope . The lower pedestal base is heavily carved with raised dark-stained designs and black painted accent bands. The drum has a hollow underside and appears to be made from a single carved wood shell.

Pre-owned vintage condition with visible age and use wear throughout. Drum head shows staining, spotting, discoloration, surface wear, and a small sticker/remnant near the rim. Wood body has scuffs, scratches, rough carved areas, finish wear, small chips/nicks, and wear to the black painted accents, especially around the base edge. Rope tensioning appears intact overall and holds weight of the drum. Please review photos closely for condition and details. No maker marks found.
